As we enter into a mature age, in other words as we get older, we do start to think about entering the ‘Spirit World’. I must say it is one of life’s greatest mysteries. Each day that we live, brings us closer to the one unavoidable event of our lives.
Â
Death is inevitable and it is a fact of life, yet despite this, some of us live in constant fear of dying and death. Do you think the reason for this, is that we know so little about death?
Â
Our understanding of it is limited, so we tend to fear it. We have little idea or evidence about what happens after we pass away, very limited knowledge of the other side and I think some of us are frightened by the very idea of it.
Â
However bad this world has been for us, however painful or lonely our lives have been most of us when given the choice, would we rather stay here than move into the unknown.
Â
As I always say death isn't a word I like to use, to me it seems to be a cold and unattractive word that contradicts the reality. I prefer to think of it as passing away, passing from this world or more accurately perhaps a passing over to the next. So, death is not the end, but the beginning of a different phase of eternal life, of a Spirit life.
Â
The day that we pass on, is not the end of our lives, but the beginning of the start of our new life as we leave this world behind and enter another one. We begin a new life, one that will last for eternity so when we pass, we discard our physical body because it is no longer of any use to us, it becomes obsolete.
Â
To survive this world, we need our body but when we move to the Spirit World, it is no longer necessary for our survival. In many ways the human body is nothing more than a vehicle we use to transport ourselves through life. For in Spirit there is no pain, no suffering, only love.
Â
I would like to leave you with this thought, just because someone has passed over does not mean that they are no longer with us. You must not think that because you have said goodbye to them, that they have left you for good, they haven't.
Â
Spirits are free to move from their world and ours and do so often. They do this because they love us, because they want to see us, and they like to protect us. So you see they're always by our side and most of all still loving us.
Thank you and bless you all.
